Number 5 tee at Highlands Links, Canada's top public course and Stanley Thompson's Mountain to Ocean masterpiece. Sea Spray Outdoor Adventures photo. We don’t believe you need a guide to golf the two courses close by the Top of the Island.  Both Highlands Links, (consistently rated the #1 public course in Canada) and Les Portage are just to our south.

However, we felt it important that you be aware that a round or two can easily be combined with your other outdoor activities in our region.

We can make your tee time reservations for you, and also give you some hints about the courses, such as where the eagles perch at Highlands Links (and where the moose hang out), and where to watch for moose and whales while driving to Les Portage.

We’ll also give you restaurant recommendations for after the round.

Now, as to whether or not to use driver on Highlands’ #4 tee, or if you’ll put it into the parking lot instead of on the #9 green at Les Portage on a windy day...that’s up to you.

Additional hazards at Highlands Links, Canada's top public course and Stanley Thompson's Mountain to Ocean masterpiece, include moose on the fairways, eagles battling crows in the trees above the tees, and foxes that occasionally steal golf balls.
